About The Position

The Implementation Coordinator supports and ensures faithful implementation of OnRamps Chemistry courses and coordinates instructional and professional development services for OnRamps instructors and students, as well as UT faculty. The role supports instructors in implementing courses according to the OnRamps Four Pillars and provides customer service, technical support, and problem-solving for internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator co-develops and delivers professional learning institutes during the summer, fall, and spring, and provides ongoing learning activities through weekly communications, monthly virtual meetings, coaching, and other support. The position uses data to monitor course implementation, supports instructors facing implementation challenges, facilitates mentoring and online support for new instructors, and creates video resources modeling pedagogy and challenging content. The coordinator also contributes to special projects supporting OnRamps’ mission and strategic direction. This is a 40-hour-per-week position based in Austin, Texas, with hybrid telework eligibility and up to 5% travel throughout Texas. The role may involve evening and weekend work, particularly for professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines. The work environment may include standard office conditions, a shared desk, keyboard use, stairs, and manual dexterity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, education, or a related field; relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Demonstrated understanding of high school teaching and learning.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.
Three years of teaching experience at a high school or college level.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Chemistry, education, or a related field.
Experience providing support or instructional coaching to teachers.
Proficiency in Canvas or another learning management system.
Proficiency in Smartsheet or another project management system.
Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.
Five years of teaching experience at a high school or college level.

Responsibilities

Support OnRamps instructors in implementing courses with fidelity to the OnRamps Four Pillars.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders through professional customer service, technical support, and problem-solving.
Co-develop and implement annual summer, fall, and spring professional learning institutes in collaboration with Course Leads, the OnRamps Assistant Director, and the Professional Learning and Development team.
Deliver ongoing professional development through weekly communications, monthly virtual meetings, and professional learning institutes.
Use standardized relationship-building strategies to cultivate and lead a facilitated network of OnRamps instructors.
Develop and implement interventions for instructors facing implementation challenges and instructors who join after the summer institutes, including virtual meetings, coaching, and video streaming into classes.
Use data, including instructor engagement, pacing, submission reports, and performance, to monitor and support fidelity of course implementation.
Support course implementation fidelity through instructor resources at headquarters and investigations of academic integrity, as needed.
Facilitate an instructor support system using mentor instructors and online platforms, especially for new instructors.
Create video resources in the OnRamps studio that model pedagogy and challenging content.
Support and participate in special projects that advance the mission and strategic direction of OnRamps.
