About The Position

The Imaging Technician will work within the UNH Insect Collection, using traditional and advanced imaging methods to analyze microhymenopteran specimens. The role requires an entomology background, familiarity and experience handling fragile insect specimens, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Laboratory skills in molecular and chemical analysis are also required. The position is supported by external sponsor funding, and continued employment is contingent upon the availability of those funds; if funding is reduced or discontinued, employment may be modified or terminated in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Background in entomology.
• Familiarity working with fragile insect specimens.
• Experience handling fragile insect specimens.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Laboratory skills in molecular and chemical analysis.
