About The Position

Inova Fairfax Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Imaging Operations Assistant to join its team. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday and supports a safe and comfortable environment for patients in the Imaging department. The assistant monitors patients, promptly reports problems to appropriate personnel, and selects suitable transportation methods in accordance with physician orders and nursing/Radiology practice standards. The role also requires effective communication with nursing and Radiology personnel and the use of safe transport and body-lifting techniques.

Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon start.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
No experience required.
No licensure required.

Responsibilities

Monitor patients in the Imaging department to help provide a safe and comfortable environment.
Consistently monitor patients' conditions and immediately report problems to appropriate personnel.
Assess patients' conditions and select the most appropriate mode of transportation in compliance with physician orders and nursing/Radiology practice standards.
Communicate effectively with nursing and Radiology personnel when transport problems arise to support timely and appropriate patient transfer.
Use safe and appropriate transport methods and body-lifting techniques.
