Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) – required within one (1) month of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within orientation period
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within orientation period
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Effective patient communication and education abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Professionalism and accountability in all aspects of care
  • Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Nice To Haves

  • Imaging, procedural, or outpatient nursing experience preferred
  • Cardiac stress testing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
  • Prepare and educate patients for procedures, including cardiac stress testing and biopsies
  • Assist physicians and radiology staff with procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and biopsies
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, responding promptly to changes
  • Administer medications, including IV contrast, in accordance with established protocols
  • Establish and maintain IV access; assist with or perform PICC line placement as appropriate
  • Coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
