Imaging Nurse (PRN)

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Radiology / Imaging Department, working a PRN schedule for day shifts. There are no travel or supervisory duties involved. Requirements
- Active RN license (North Carolina)
- CPR certification (within 1 month of hire)
- ACLS & PALS (within orientation period)
- Must meet vaccination requirements (with approved exemptions if applicable)
- Background check and drug screening required
Nice To Haves
- Imaging or outpatient experience preferred
- Experience with cardiac stress testing a plus
- Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care in the Imaging Department
- Educate patients for procedures like cardiac stress tests, biopsies, and special procedures
- Assist with radiology procedures (thoracentesis, paracentesis, biopsies, etc.)
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications and IV contrast safely
- Coordinate care with physicians and imaging staff
- Perform PICC line placement/assistance and IV access
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards are met
