About The Position

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, the Imaging Assistant I provides patient care, including transporting patients, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, assisting patients on and off imaging tables, and performing assigned modality-specific duties. The position assists with patient exams, explains procedural delays, processes requisitions and paperwork, reviews schedules, and helps retrieve outside images. It also maintains inventory and adequate supply levels and assists with special projects, such as Quality Assurance and Education.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized courses or training.
Computer skills, including knowledge of hospital departmental computer systems.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
CPR certification required within 3 months.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt once hired.

Nice To Haves

One year of related work experience in a similar position is preferred.
