About The Position

As an Imaging Assistant at Froedtert South, you will help keep Imaging Services running smoothly while helping patients feel welcome, comfortable, and supported. You will work closely with technologists, nurses, physicians, and other team members to prepare patients and imaging areas for examinations. Your work supports technologists in providing diagnostic care and helps ensure patients receive the assistance they need.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred or required according to position requirements.
• Previous healthcare, customer service, or patient-care experience.
• Ability to safely assist with patient movement and transfers.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) preferred.
• Enrollment in a school of Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology program and good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Transport and assist patients to and from imaging examinations.
• Help prepare patients and examination rooms for procedures.
• Assist technologists with patient positioning and workflow as directed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked imaging areas.
• Transport equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assist with patient transfers while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service.
• Help coordinate patient flow throughout the department.
• Deliver and retrieve patient records, supplies, and other materials as needed.
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and members of the healthcare team.
