About The Position

At LearnWell, we are committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come. Currently, we are seeking passionate and creative teachers to assist with our growing need for virtual tutoring. This unique position will involve working remotely, providing academic support to middle and high school students as they are out of school for medical, behavioral, or various unique reasons. Teachers must be IL PEL LBS1 certified and can assist with K-12 core subjects, however many of our students need assistance in high school math and science. In this role, teachers provide virtual tutoring support to students on a 1:1 and small group setting with the main responsibility is to act as an aide for the student, guiding them through educational material and ensuring their academic success.

Requirements

B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
IL PEL LBS1 teaching license
Comfortable working with Middle and High school students
Strong organizational skills
Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs, especially in upper level Math and Science
Reliable internet connection, working computer and distraction free work space
