About The Position
The ICU Technician supports the nursing team at the bedside, helping patients and families feel comfortable through compassionate care and service. The role works collaboratively with nurses and nursing attendants to support patient care and clinical practices. Duties include providing phlebotomy, performing EKGs, monitoring vital signs, and testing blood glucose. This is a part-time night-shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center.
Requirements
- At least two years of current Nursing Attendant experience in a health care setting.
- Successful completion of a Nursing Attendant skills inventory.
- Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Medical Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and help put patients and families at ease.
- Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to support patient care.
