About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity. The Section Leader must be able to anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures. Excellent attendance is required. The role involves operating a forklift and flexibility to support extraordinary production requirements. Strong communication skills are necessary for presenting information to large groups of associates and for communicating and enforcing policies and procedures. The Section Leader will support and direct daily company production and projects, understand the roles and responsibilities of each associate, and be able to perform any associate's job if necessary. The position requires investigating abnormal situations, documenting and sharing findings using Microsoft Office, monitoring the aging trailer report, confirming order and yard maintenance, and ensuring the error management screen is maintained. The role also involves responding to AAP Requests (Cycle Count/JSP), identifying needed repacks and timings, completing carryover requests from AAP, and providing daily activity results to the Supervisor. Support for physical inventory requirements is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Post-high school education (2 - 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Able to interact professionally within the company with our customer and associates.
  • Able to lead project teams and present information to management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Computer skills- Microsoft Office; GCCS/GPCS.
  • Successful completion of Microsoft Assessment Test will be required.
  • Full-time associate with a minimum of 3 months of service (Associate cannot be in their New Hire Probationary Period).
  • Must not have received any formal written occurrences other than attendance during the past 12 months.
  • Must not have less than 3.5 points during the time of posting.
  • Cannot have received a transfer from an internal posting from Division to Division within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure error management screen is maintained and report any unresolved issues.
  • Respond to AAP Requests (Cycle Count/JSP).
  • Identify needed repacks and timings.
  • Complete all carryover requests from AAP.
  • Provide results of daily activity to Supervisor.
  • Support Physical Inventory requirements.
  • Follow safety rules and requirements.
  • Ensure work area is clean at the end of the shift.
  • Support Incident Reports as necessary.
  • Maintain Inventory Accuracy daily.
  • Report any inventory irregularities to SV immediately.
  • Ensure correct receipt of all parts in both GCCS and GPCS.
  • Support overtime (scheduled or unscheduled).
  • Monitor receiving areas to ensure correct receipt.
  • Interact with team members and customer daily in a positive way.
  • Treat all associates consistently and respectfully.
  • Raise concerns/issues immediately to management.
  • Train on SOPs as presented by management.
