About The Position

This position is responsible for administrating, analyzing, and reporting on cycle counts and their results to identify variances, pinpoint issues, and recommend or implement corrective actions to enhance inventory accuracy. The role involves contributing to Key Performance Indicators by identifying areas for improvement, conducting in-depth analysis to determine the root cause of inventory discrepancies, and implementing preventative measures. The Inventory Analyst will also work to meet customer expectations, maintain communication, enforce and interpret policies, and uphold confidentiality. Support for leadership with other assigned duties is also expected.

Requirements

  • Post-high school education (2 - 4-year degree in Operations Management), Business or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Skilled proficiently in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong PC skills required with functional knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and QMF/SQL is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an Inventory Control role or equivalent experience.
  • High attention to detail and reliability with strong decision-making ability under minimal guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organization and communication skills.
  • Able to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs intermittently.
  • Must be a full-time associate with a minimum of 3 months of service (Associate cannot be in their New Hire Probationary Period).
  • Must not have received any formal written occurrences other than attendance during the past 12 months.
  • Must not have less than 3.5 points during the time of posting.
  • Cannot have received a transfer from an internal posting from Division to Division within the past 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Functional knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and QMF/SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administrate, analyze, and report all cycle counts and results to determine variances, identify any issues, and recommend/apply corrective action to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by identifying root cause of discrepancies and implementing corrective action to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the accomplishment of Key Performance Indicators by identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Complete analysis on count results and make determinations to correct inventory positions to support business operations, a safe operating environment, and project requirements.
  • Engage in deep dive analysis to determine root cause of inventory position variances and identify/share potential solutions to prevent reoccurrence. Enact preventative measures when possible.
  • Work to meet customer’s expectations and fulfill their needs, maintaining communication and good rapport.
  • Policy enforcement and interpretation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and sustain trust with peers and customers.
  • Support leadership with other assigned duties and tasks.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy daily.
  • Cross-functionally partner with operations team on any initiative and improvement while maintaining presence on the production floor as needed (gemba).
  • Deliver high quality analysis to drive improvement projects and turn PDCA continuously.
  • Identify and address any mishandling of parts or company equipment to help prevent accidents and part spills/damage.
  • Follow all safety rules and requirements.
  • Correct and/or report any safety and health hazards.
  • Ensure work area is clean (5s at end of shift).
  • Support New Model activity by promoting a smooth transition for each model year (1/year/model).
  • Update supporting maintenance screens in AS400/GCCS as necessary.
  • Identify and communicate any abnormals that could impact production.
  • Support overtime (scheduled or unscheduled).
  • Must be willing to operate PIV equipment once trained.
  • Support short notice production changes.
  • Support Physical Inventory (1/year).
