About The Position

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part-time Scoopers for its Franklin Village shop in Los Angeles, California. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Genuine passion for ice cream and desserts.
• Dexterity to prepare and serve all menu items according to established service and build-out standards.
• Ability to push, pull, and regularly lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods regularly.
• Ability to regularly walk up and down stairs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work at least three days per week, including nights and weekends past 12 a.m.
• Reliable, punctual, and ready for every shift.
• Food handler certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, enthusiastically, and with genuine hospitality.
• Scoop and serve all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Educate guests about flavors, ingredients, and special offerings as a Van Leeuwen ambassador.
• Prepare fresh, house-made menu items daily.
• Operate the Square POS system accurately to provide a seamless checkout process.
• Learn and follow required food safety procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Complete daily tasks, including stocking, inventory, and cleaning.
• Follow established safety, grooming, uniform, and employee conduct standards.
