About The Position

Mini Melts of America is an established leader in cryogenically frozen ice cream and is seeking an Ice Cream Maker to produce its ice cream for the 48 contiguous United States. The role operates mixing vats and cryogenic ice cream machinery and supports manufacturing, cleaning, food safety, quality, and inventory processes. The work requires standing for most of the shift. The work area may be cold, wet, and humid because liquid nitrogen is used; the company provides gear for these working conditions after 90 days.

Requirements

Be able to work from 1:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
Be able to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Be able to climb, bend, reach, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
Be able to lift, carry, push, and handle products.
Have forklift and electric pallet jack experience.
Be able to work at least 40 hours per week; occasional overtime, possibly including weekends, may be required.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical aptitude.
Good communication skills, including bilingual ability.
Basic math skills.
Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Adhere to Mini Melts USA food safety and quality standards.
Operate mixing vats and cryogenic ice cream machinery.
Clean manufacturing equipment and work with cleaning chemicals.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ensure products are made within specification.
Follow the daily schedule and use inventory according to first-in, first-out practices.
Follow recipes and measure exact amounts of flavorings and colors.
Follow SSOPs for cleaning equipment and record required information.
Complete paperwork for each ice cream batch, including lot numbers for product tracing.
Help other departments when needed.
