About The Position

The Ice Cream Host/Hostess greets and assists customers, manages wait lines, and helps ensure a positive shopping experience. The role includes answering product questions, making recommendations, and weighing and pricing products ordered at the service bar. Hosts make and serve ice cream treats and coffee, keep the work area clean and organized, and follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations. Team members collaborate with coworkers, provide excellent customer service, and represent the store’s S.T.E.W. values in customer and team interactions.

Requirements

• Entry-level position; no prior experience is required.
• Safely use tools and equipment needed for the department’s daily operation.
• Provide great customer service.
• Have good oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate a great work ethic, problem-solving ability, self-motivation, flexibility, and honesty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help them feel welcome and appreciated.
• Manage customer wait lines and assist customers.
• Answer product questions and offer recommendations and suggestions.
• Weigh and price products ordered by customers at the service bar.
• Make and serve ice cream treats, including cones, cups, and milkshakes, as well as coffee.
• Keep the work area organized and clean.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and offer assistance where needed.
• Create a memorable shopping experience and represent the store’s S.T.E.W. values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
