About The Position

Keysight is hiring an IC Test Engineer for its Technology Organization in Santa Rosa, California. The role contributes to developing on-wafer microwave and millimeter-wave measurement solutions for Keysight’s integrated circuits. Work spans exploratory R&D design validation of advanced MMICs and automated small-volume testing of integrated circuits designed and partly manufactured in-house. The engineer will work with a collaborative, experienced team and use industry-leading tools and a well-equipped measurement lab. The position is intended for a recent or new graduate who will complete a degree by June 2027. It requires in-person, hands-on work with test systems in Santa Rosa. The role requires access to certain export-controlled goods, software, technology, or technical data; employment of non-U.S. persons is contingent on Keysight obtaining any required government authorizations.

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, with thesis work and/or relevant industry experience in millimeter-wave IC characterization.
  • Degree completion by June 2027.
  • Training or experience through academia, internships, or industry in RF characterization of active and passive components, including measures such as reflection coefficient, matching, TOI, P1dB, and noise figure.
  • Expertise using test and measurement equipment such as a network analyzer, signal source, or spectrum analyzer.
  • Proficiency in software development/programming in at least one of C#, C++/.NET, C, or Visual Studio.
  • Experience with wafer-probe calibration and measurements of integrated circuits.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills to work in a dynamic environment across multiple teams and projects.
  • Motivation to complete tasks in support of aggressive product-development schedules and world-class manufacturing expectations.
  • Ability to work in a leadership or lead role.
  • Ability to work in person in Santa Rosa, California, with hands-on access to test systems.
  • Eligibility to access export-controlled items, or ability for Keysight to obtain any required government authorization.
