About The Position

Sanderson Pipe Corporation manufacturers plumbing, irrigation and waterworks PVC pipe in diameters ½'' to 24''. Sanderson Pipe’s corporate office is located in Tennessee (Clarksville), with additional production facilities in Kansas (Pittsburg), Texas (Houston), and Florida (Sanderson). Sanderson Pipe supplies PVC pipe to wholesalers for the Southeast and Midwest markets. We’re seeking an experienced Information Technology Administrator who’s eager to further help develop our company’s computer systems as well as take the next step in their IT career. This person will assist in protecting our critical systems and assets, build solutions, oversee the implementation of new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. This position will be located at our Sanderson, FL location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of work experience in a Systems Administrator and/or IT Supervisory role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain information technology and provide support for hardware and software computer systems.
  • Provides training, consultation, and recommendations about future and development of resources to ensure maximum access and implementation of technology services.
  • Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network operating systems while monitoring virus and security protection.
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources, and identify and prepare (strip and secure) hardware for disposal when appropriate.
  • Research current and potential resources and services.
  • Install and maintain network equipment and servers.
  • Connect / set up hardware and load required software.
  • Provide network accounts / passwords, and input and maintain IP Addresses as required.
  • Provide Tier 3 IT support to all staff as needed on existing and new technology.
  • Effective written, verbal, presentation and listening communications.
  • Management and supervisory skills with sound decision-making ability.
  • Proactive in team building.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Perform tasks utilizing effective time management skills.
  • All other duties as assigned by the I.T. Manager.
