Workforce Solutions Hydroponics Instructors (Part-Time)
About The Position
Virginia Western Community College is seeking part-time Hydroponics Instructors for its Workforce Solutions program. The college is a two-year public institution located in Roanoke, VA, serving a region that includes Roanoke, Salem, Roanoke County, Craig County, Franklin County, and southern Botetourt County. Established in 1966, the college currently serves over 9,000 students in credit courses and more than 1,400 in workforce and continuing education. The Hydroponics Instructors will be responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of growing plants using controlled environment technology and equipment for both personal and industrial applications. This role involves teaching two levels of classes, maintaining hydroponics equipment, and ensuring plant viability. The position is appointed on an as-needed, course-by-course, semester basis.
