Workforce Instructors (All Areas)
About The Position
Workforce Solutions is seeking instructors to teach in various programming areas including Computers and Technology, Healthcare and Wellness, Industry and Manufacturing (Mechatronics, Heavy Equipment Operator), Trades and Apprenticeships (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Welding), Transportation, Business and Professional Development, Leadership Development, and Corporate Training. They offer scheduled classes in an open enrollment setting and customized training for businesses. Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, or DC. While teaching experience is helpful, professional experience and appropriate certification are critical. Our students range from novices to experienced technicians seeking credentials. Teaching positions are primarily in-person, but may occasionally be hybrid. Classes can be offered during weekdays, weekday evenings, or weekends. These are part-time, contracted positions on a course-by-course basis. Programs focus on credentials and skill enhancement. Classes may be held at the Middletown or Fauquier Campuses, the Luray-Page County Center, or off-site locations.
Requirements
- Professional experience and appropriate certification are critical.
- Must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC.
- Ability to teach in updated state-of-art labs, using equipment and tools for hands-on learning.
- Ability to share knowledge and relevant experience in the field.
- Heart to help others and learn.

- On average earn up to $3,500 on select programs.
- Actual compensation based on a variety of factors including subject area, length of class, and professional experience.
