About The Position

PIRTEK is hiring a Hydraulic Hose Service & Sales Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in varying environmental conditions. The role involves manual labor, messy substances, and participation in on-call hours. Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is not required; training opportunities may be provided at the franchise owner’s discretion, and PIRTEK USA offers a 24/7 hotline for troubleshooting support. The Technician operates from a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built mobile service unit equipped with tools and machinery for serving a local territory. Service environments vary in terrain, noise, temperature, and available amenities. The work frequently involves oil, grease, lubricants, and other messy substances. Travel for training may be required at no cost to the employee.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop for moderate to extended periods.
Ability to safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, and similar equipment.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to consistently use hand tools and specialized equipment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to navigate customer objections, identify needs, and execute sales.
Self-motivation and a positive attitude when handling difficult jobs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to safely and lawfully drive a large work van.
High school diploma or GED.
Driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience in industrial development and construction, automobile, marine, or field mechanics, or a related industry.
Hydraulic and industrial hose experience; this is not required.

Responsibilities

Adhere to industry and PIRTEK safety standards.
Carry out service calls and sales visits in the local area.
Identify faulty hoses or hose assemblies to address customer needs.
Remove worn or broken hoses, then fabricate and install replacements.
Clean or contain oil spills and environmental contaminants caused by hose failures or repairs, to the customer’s satisfaction and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Enter service details into the online database to create accurate invoices.
Develop relationships with new and existing customers.
Maintain the mobile service unit, tools, and equipment.
Resolve customer issues on-site and conduct frequent follow-up visits to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in the rotating on-call schedule.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
