HVAC Technician - Turning Stone Resort Facilities
About The Position
The HVAC Technician repairs, installs, and troubleshoots HVAC equipment, including thermostats, furnaces, and air ducts. The role ensures the proper maintenance, installation, and operation of HVAC equipment throughout the property. The technician may mentor Level I Facilities Engineer-HVAC team members and must properly charge refrigeration systems and safely handle refrigerant. The position offers all shifts, with schedules of Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday and hours of 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., or 11 p.m.–7 a.m. Starting pay is $23.00–$28.75 per hour, with a $1,500 signing bonus. Turning Stone Enterprises operates Turning Stone Resort Casino and other gaming, hospitality, retail, and recreation businesses in Central New York. Requirements
- High school diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
- Valid New York State driver’s license.
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Heating/AC Certificate (EPA Certification).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with diplomacy and objectivity.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to lift 41–50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Repair, install, and troubleshoot HVAC equipment, including thermostats, furnaces, and air ducts.
- Ensure the proper maintenance, installation, and operation of HVAC equipment throughout the property.
- May mentor Level I Facilities Engineer-HVAC team members.
- Properly charge refrigeration systems and safely handle refrigerant.
