About The Position

Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, Connecticut, is hiring an experienced HVAC professional to teach HVAC Technology. No education background is required; the position calls for practical expertise, a willingness to share knowledge, and patience developed through working with customers and apprentices. Instructors provide hands-on training in a fully equipped facility and deliver Lincoln Tech’s accredited curriculum using its Blended Learning Model. They also advise and mentor students, evaluate progress, teach safety and compliance, maintain a professional classroom, and prepare students for HVAC careers. The instructor must complete the Lincoln Instructor Foundational Training (LIFT) program. The role is part-time, Monday through Thursday evenings, and offers an $8,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

At least 3 years of HVAC experience in the field.
S1 or S2 Connecticut HVAC license.
Ability to explain HVAC knowledge to someone who is learning it.
Genuine interest in helping other people succeed.
At least 3 years of HVAC Technician experience.
EPA 608 certification, required within the first 3 months.
OSHA 30 certification, required within the first 3 months.
Universal EPA 608 Refrigerant Recovery License.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Teach HVAC Technology and provide hands-on training in a fully equipped facility.
Deliver Lincoln Tech’s accredited course curriculum using its Blended Learning Model.
Support and motivate student growth, professionalism, and accountability through advising and mentoring.
Evaluate and communicate student progress fairly and consistently.
Teach students the importance of safety and compliance.
Maintain a professional, visitor-ready classroom environment.
Complete the Lincoln Instructor Foundational Training (LIFT) program.
Prepare students for a successful career in HVAC Technology.
