About The Position

Nevada Heating is hiring non-experienced candidates for its paid HVAC Apprentice Academy in Sparks, Nevada. This is a job with on-the-job training, not a school program. Apprentices are paid $20 per hour during the 12-week training period and receive local in-office and online instruction, along with hands-on training. Candidates who successfully complete training are guaranteed a Maintenance Tech role. The company describes opportunities for increased pay after entering the field. The program requires perfect attendance; candidates may be eliminated for absences, and no pre-arranged absences are allowed during training. Requirements

Have one year of experience in a position of responsibility; paid experience is strongly preferred.
Have at least two years of licensed driving experience; a learner's permit does not count.
Be comfortable using smartphones, iPads, or laptops; technology skills are required.
Be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Be punctual, ready to work, coachable, curious, and motivated to learn.

Responsibilities

Work 40–60 hours per week during training.
After successfully completing training, transition into the guaranteed Maintenance Tech role.
