About The Position

Capital Heating, Cooling, Electric & Plumbing is a growing HVAC employer in the Milwaukee area with 19 years in business and a team of 70. They are a busy, established home-service company offering long-term growth. This is a locally owned and owner-led company, emphasizing that decisions are made by people you know, not an out-of-state fund. They are hiring a Full-Time Experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills for 100% residential systems. All applications are 100% confidential.

Requirements

Technical school completion + 3 years HVAC experience (6–8 years of field experience may substitute for formal schooling)
Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
Universal EPA Certification (required)
Ability to read wiring diagrams
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with residential HVAC systems
Knowledge of sheet metal practices
Strong customer service and communication skills
Must own basic hand tools (we supply everything else)

Nice To Haves

Experience with residential boiler/hydronic systems
NATE Certified (or willingness to obtain)
Experience with advanced diagnostics and controls
Understanding of air balancing principles

Responsibilities

Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a wide variety of residential HVAC systems to company standards while delivering world-class customer service.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems
Service furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps
Interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
Make repair vs. replace recommendations based on system condition
Perform preventative maintenance and system performance checks
Apply knowledge of air balancing principles and sheet metal practices
Process job documentation accurately and efficiently
Deliver exceptional customer communication and service
Participate in on-call rotation and occasional overtime
