About The Position

Capital Heating, Cooling, Electric & Plumbing is a growing HVAC employer in the Milwaukee area with 19 years in business and a team of 70. We are a busy, established home-service company offering stability and long-term growth. As a locally owned and owner-led company, decisions are made by people you know, ensuring your pay plan is stable and you are not pressured to sell unnecessary work. We are hiring a Full-Time Experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills for residential systems. We exclusively perform residential work, with no commercial or rooftop projects. All applications are kept confidential.

Requirements

• Technical school completion + 3 years HVAC experience (6–8 years of field experience may substitute for formal schooling)
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
• Universal EPA Certification (required)
• Ability to read wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with residential HVAC systems
• Knowledge of sheet metal practices
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Must own basic hand tools (we supply everything else)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with residential boiler/hydronic systems
• NATE Certified (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with advanced diagnostics and controls
• Understanding of air balancing principles

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a wide variety of residential HVAC systems to company standards while delivering world-class customer service.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Service furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Make repair vs. replace recommendations based on system condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system performance checks.
• Apply knowledge of air balancing principles and sheet metal practices.
• Process job documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Deliver exceptional customer communication and service.
• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional overtime.
