About the role As a member of the Benefits Processing Team, you will play a key role in managing participant distributions from their 401(k) accounts in a fast-paced and growing environment. Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of participant distributions while helping to refine and improve processes. You will gain in-depth knowledge of 401(k) systems and integrations to ensure distributions are processed correctly and on schedule. Your responsibilities will also include troubleshooting system issues, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize workflows, track trends, and communicate key metrics. About the team This team ensures the accuracy and integrity of customer accounts, preventing compliance issues and distribution delays. They maintain a smooth distribution system, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contribute reliable data for internal reporting and decision-making. By identifying inefficiencies and collaborating with other teams, they streamline workflows and reduce response times. The team regularly analyzes processes, offering insights for improvement and recommending tools or workflow adjustments. They uphold high-quality standards, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, supporting the company’s long-term success and operational goals.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Accounting or 401(k) Recordkeeping (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong aptitude for working with numbers
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic problem-solving abilities
  • Interest in research and learning
  • Willingness to identify and suggest process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all data is carefully reviewed for accuracy, identifying and escalating discrepancies to maintain accurate and compliant customer accounts.
  • Consistently and promptly process participant distributions, meeting deadlines and ensuring distributions are correctly applied without delays.
  • Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring high-quality, consistent data for reporting and operational purposes.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between teams to quickly resolve customer inquiries, while contributing ideas to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop proficiency in the company's operational processes, becoming a trusted resource for day-to-day support and offering insights for process improvement.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of key projects by delivering tasks on time, supporting project leads, and maintaining high-quality standards in all deliverables.
