About The Position

Signature Labor Services is seeking HVAC/Plumbing Assistants with hands-on experience for mechanical construction projects in the Bossier City, Louisiana area. Qualified candidates from nearby communities are welcome to apply. The role pays $40.38 per hour, with weekly pay and full benefits. Employees assist with HVAC and plumbing installation, ductwork, pipe fitting, and insulation, and support skilled tradespeople with general mechanical construction tasks. They must follow job-site safety procedures, keep the work area clean, complete assigned tasks in a timely manner under minimal supervision, follow verbal and written instructions, and be able to perform physical work for a full shift and work all assigned hours. Employees must provide their own required PPE: hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and work gloves. Employment is subject to the company's Substance Abuse Prevention Policy; offers may be conditioned on passing a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen. Candidates must also pass required background checks.

Requirements

1–2 years of HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical construction experience preferred.
OSHA 10 preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have a Real ID or a valid driver's license with a Real ID stamp and dependable transportation.
Must pass a drug screen and all required background checks.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to complete physical work for a full shift and work all assigned hours.
Must have proper PPE: hard hat, work boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and work gloves.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist with HVAC line installation and routing.
Install, hang, and secure ductwork.
Support plumbing installation and pipe fitting.
Install insulation on piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems.
Assist skilled tradespeople with general mechanical construction tasks.
Follow job-site safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Complete various tasks assigned by the site supervisor.
Complete assigned work in a timely manner under minimal supervision and follow verbal and written instructions.
Perform assignments requiring physical activity for a full shift and work all assigned hours.
