About The Position

The HVAC Field Service Apprentice Technician assists experienced Service Technicians with installing and repairing environmental control systems. The role applies knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts while providing service at customer locations. The apprentice works directly for a leading manufacturer and has access to technical support, training on new technology, and career-development opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old on the first day of work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the last 3 years.
• Strong desire to learn a trade and directly impact the world.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school certificates and/or formal HVAC training or experience; these are not required but may be considered when determining program proficiency level and starting compensation.

Responsibilities

• Service products, equipment, and systems at customer locations to support customer satisfaction, including identifying, examining, and diagnosing issues and planning equipment repairs.
• Work with a supervising field technician, project manager, and customers to understand on-site installation requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work.
• Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Enforce high safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
