About The Position

The HVAC Field Service Apprentice Technician assists experienced Service Technicians with installing and repairing environmental control systems at customer locations. The role uses knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. The technician works with a supervising field technician, project manager, and customers to understand installation requirements, anticipate issues, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work. The position offers direct employment with a leading manufacturer, technical support, training on new technology, and career-growth opportunities. Work is field-based at customer sites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old on the first day of work.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the past three years.
• Strong desire to learn a trade and directly impact the world.
• No industry experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school certificates and/or formal HVAC training or experience; these are not required but may be considered when determining program proficiency and starting compensation.

Responsibilities

• Assist seasoned Service Technicians in installing and repairing environmental control systems.
• Service products, equipment, and systems at customer locations to support customer satisfaction.
• Identify, examine, and diagnose equipment issues and plan repairs.
• Coordinate with the supervising field technician, project manager, and customers to understand on-site installation requirements.
• Forecast potential issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
• Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
