About The Position

This role involves the complete installation of new heating and cooling systems, as well as the relocation of existing systems. The apprentice/helper will operate a company vehicle, work collaboratively with customers, co-workers, and other sub-contractors, and follow instructions from supervisors and journeymen in a timely manner. Responsibilities include professional installation of ductwork, maintaining a clean job site and company vehicle, and attending continued professional HVAC training. The position requires maintaining a professional appearance and attitude, punctual attendance, accurate timecard completion, effective communication, adherence to safety rules, regular use of personal protective equipment, and coming to work prepared with proper tools and attire. A willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes is also expected.

Requirements

  • Valid driver license and clean driving record, insurable by company insurance.
  • Desire to advance in career through apprenticeship program and on-the-job training.
  • Ability to work well independently or as a team.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds consistent with trade practice.
  • Ability to work out of town when necessary.
  • Ability to work outside in a wide range of temperatures.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to work off ladders & lifts.
  • Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Basic written and verbal English language communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous HVAC experience in a commercial application is preferred.
  • Enrollment in apprenticeship program or technical/trade school is preferred.
  • Previous experience reading blue prints is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Regular use of personal protective equipment.
  • Come to work ready to work with proper tools and attire.
  • Willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes.
