Preference will be given to candidates that are bilingual in Spanish and English. This position may receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test. Summary of Duties Oregon Eligibility Partnership (OEP) provides direction and resources to everyone working to determine eligibility for Oregonians applying for and receiving medical, food, cash and childcare benefits through the ONE eligibility system. Requirements

  • Four (4) years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR One (1) year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience creating trauma informed, inclusive and equitable spaces that foster environments rooted in anti-racism, compassion, and belonging.
  • Experience increasing employee engagement by organizing people to reach a goal, delegating effectively, and mentoring to achieve success.
  • Experience making decisions based on a mixture of data analysis, knowledge, and judgement in a timely manner.
  • Experience conveying complex or detailed information clearly and accurately to diverse audiences in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience fostering a learning culture, taking ownership of decisions and outcomes that demonstrate humility, coachability, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support for diversified eligibility and support staff in Cottage Grove and Florence offices by supervising, hiring, engaging, empowering, aiding in professional development, coaching, supporting, promoting, monitoring performance and providing direction.
  • Manage staff performance by establishing directions, goals and priorities for assigned team members in collaboration with OEP Central Operations, OEP Workflow Coordination and OEP leadership.
  • Collaborate with other local supervisors and managers from agencies such as Child Welfare, Self Sufficiency, and County AAA partners.
  • Monitor and analyze local office effectiveness in policy implementation and application.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and monitor operational effectiveness through reports gathered by reviews, routine monitoring and quality control data.
  • Perform administrative functions to carry out objectives and goals of the department and implement the department's vision, leveraging local community resources and department staff and programs.
  • Anticipate agency needs and direction.
  • Articulate that vision with staff and the community to provide an environment for effective changes to occur.
  • Facilitate changes in services, programs, community partnerships and use of department resources.
  • Actively model our Equity North Star goals and the ODHS Core Values of Stewardship, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Service Equity, Innovation and Professionalism.
  • Ensure staff have a clear understanding of these goals and values; hold self and staff accountable for instilling these values into everyday actions and behaviors.
