In this Human Services Program Representative 1 position, you will focus on supporting and monitoring community programs that provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and developmental disabilities, and their families. Your work will help ensure that counties and providers follow important requirements as they provide consistent, quality, adaptable services.

Requirements

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of administrative entities and human service providers’ implementation of policies, regulations, and waivers
  • Provide guidance, recommendations, and best practices to ensure programs achieve shared goals, meet individuals’ needs, and adhere to state, federal, and other related requirements
  • Meet with individuals, families, and various stakeholders to hear concerns, present information, and build consensus through on-site visits, training, conferences, mentoring, and other collaborative activity
  • Research and prepare documentation for approval; compile and analyze statistics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide recommendations and ideas to support policy and program development
  • Coordinate and participate in the regional implementation and management of special programs projects that expand and enhance the availability of community services
