About The Position

As a Human Services Program Representative 1 with the Department of Human Services, you will help support services that make a difference in people's daily lives. This position supports programs that help individuals and families access developmental programs. Together, with community partners, you will ensure individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism live an everyday life full of choice and opportunity. This position supports the quality and compliance of intellectual disability and autism service programs across the Northeast Region. The role ensures that services follow state standards and meet the needs of individuals and families.

Requirements

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete reviews of service records and program activities to ensure compliance with waivers, regulations, and policies
  • Evaluate the quality of community programs through site visits, interviews, and observation to confirm that consumer needs are met effectively
  • Contribute to policy development by reviewing draft bulletins, joining focus groups, and engaging in committee work
  • Review incident reports, address complaints, and support regional duties while serving as Duty Officer on a rotating basis
  • Coordinate, facilitate, or participate in assigned projects, committees, or statewide initiatives
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide direction and assistance to regional staff and partner agencies
