About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical and administrative support in addressing the mental health needs of special population programs. This position works collaboratively with the Advocacy and Empowerment Team and is responsible for liaising, engaging, and responding to the needs of special populations. The role supports the development of standards and/or procedures; provides guidance in policy interpretation; conduct research on best practices and implementation as appropriate. This position serves as a critical link between various external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and effective collaboration.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Considerable understanding of the policies and procedures of the state and federal programs that govern the area of assignment.
  • Considerable knowledge of compliance monitoring, program reviews, resource management, appeals, records, and documentation.
  • Considerable knowledge of best practices, national trends, and policy initiatives that impact the service delivery system.
  • Skill in the analysis and evaluation of programs and reports.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff from Federal, State, and local agencies, as well as clients, the general public, and private service providers.
  • Building strong professional relationships with advisory group members to facilitate engagement and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and coordinating skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Developing standard operating procedures and managing logistics for stakeholder engagement.
