About The Position

The Human Resources Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the HR functions within the organization to ensure a productive, compliant, and positive work environment. This position is responsible for managing HR staff, coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes, and implementing employee relations strategies that align with company goals. The supervisor will also ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies, mitigating risks related to compliance and employee grievances. By fostering effective communication between management and employees, the role supports workforce development and organizational growth. Ultimately, the Human Resources Supervisor drives HR initiatives that contribute to employee satisfaction, retention, and overall operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience in human resources, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices applicable in the United States.
  • Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage employee relations and team leadership.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills daily to manage and motivate the HR team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Communication skills are essential for resolving employee issues, conducting interviews, and collaborating with management to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance is applied continuously to maintain legal standards and update policies accordingly.
  • Technical proficiency with HRIS and ATS tools supports accurate record-keeping, recruitment processes, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are critical in fostering a positive workplace culture and addressing employee concerns effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-site organizational environment.
  • Familiarity with talent management software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives within HR.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting related to HR metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the daily activities of the HR department, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, updating policies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR programs related to performance management, employee development, and retention.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports on HR metrics to inform leadership decisions.
  • Support benefits administration and coordinate with external vendors to ensure employee satisfaction and cost-effectiveness.
