A Brief Overview The Human Resources Specialist supports core HR functions with a primary focus on delivering a seamless, engaging onboarding experience for new employee partners while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all employee records. This role serves as a key liaison between Human Resources, leadership, and operational teams to facilitate the timely completion of pre-employment requirements, orientation activities, system access, and onboarding processes. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a foundational understanding of HR principles, and the ability to manage confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Required
  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, onboarding, HR operations, or administrative support Required
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Foundational knowledge of HR principles, practices, and compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field Preferred
  • Experience with HRIS and document management systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleDoc) preferred
  • Exposure to onboarding processes, employee data management, or HR reporting Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end onboarding activities for new hires
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing guidance on onboarding requirements, policies, and logistics.
  • Ensure timely completion of all pre-employment requirements, including background checks, screenings, and required documentation.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and cross-functional partners to ensure Day One readiness (e.g., system access, equipment, workspace).
  • Support the facilitation and execution of New Hire Orientation programs.
  • Monitor onboarding progress and proactively address delays, risks, or issues impacting start dates or readiness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS and document management systems in compliance with record retention requirements.
  • Process employee transactions, including job changes, supervisory updates, and status changes.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across HR systems.
  • Generate and distribute standard HR reports as needed.
