About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed hospital in Hamilton, TX and we are looking for a reliable Human Resource Assistant to join the HR team. In this role you will provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Director and you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll. Additionally you would prepare and submit quarterly payroll reports, year-end payroll reporting, and maintaining payroll records in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of administrative office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM -CP certification preferred
  • 2+ years of college coursework or relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Human Resources and/or payroll experience preferred
  • Demonstrated competence & integrity
  • Good leadership, delegation, listening and communications skills
  • Safety Management, Quality & Customer focus skills
  • Follows regulatory and compliance standards

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, professional, and friendly assistance to staff and applicants
  • Assist staff and applicants with professionalism and excellent customer service
  • Process new hire onboarding paperwork and ensure required forms are completed
  • Enter and maintain employee licenses, certifications, and personnel files in Paycom
  • Process employee benefits, payroll documentation, and bi-weekly payroll
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of information
  • Complete quarterly and year-end payroll reporting
  • Respond to employee benefits and insurance inquiries
  • Maintain accurate employee records and obtain missing documentation as needed
  • Follow all organizational policies and procedures
  • Attend required orientation and training programs
  • Communicate effectively with employees, managers, physicians, patients, and applicants
  • Coordinate employee orientation, including materials, notifications, logistics, and presentations
  • Maintain required labor law posters and workplace notices
  • Manage employee training system (Health.edu) & keep current job opening lists updated
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
