About The Position

The Human Resources (HR) Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all human resources functions within the healthcare system. This role supports a culture of excellence, employee engagement, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The HR Manager partners closely with CEO to ensure HR initiatives align with organizational goals and the hospital’s mission to deliver high-quality healthcare to the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive HR management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital or rural healthcare or regulatory setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, organizational design, and employee relations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs consistent with hospital goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain qualified healthcare professionals.
  • Partner with department managers to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely filling of vacancies.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Administer and evaluate compensation and benefits programs to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Coordinate annual salary reviews and benefit renewals in collaboration with administration.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, EEOC).
  • Maintain personnel records and HR systems in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory standards.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate educational programs to support employee development, safety, and compliance.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Oversee HRIS systems, payroll coordination, and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics (turnover, time-to-fill, etc.) to guide decision-making.
