About The Position

This is a three-month contract position for a Human Resources Intern. The intern will provide general support to the HR Manager on recruitment matters and the maintenance of Human Resources records.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proactive and eager to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience in Human Resources.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Experience with recruitment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR Manager with all aspects of recruitment, including preparing job postings, screening resumes, short listing candidates for review and scheduling interviews for the Montreal site.
  • Develop and/or source tools that support recruiting or the acquisition of talent.
  • Prepare offer letters and additional correspondence with respect to hiring and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and systematic filing systems, including documentation regarding employee information.
  • Help with creating a structure to comply with last HR Audit’s recommendation.
  • Perform duties related to hourly hiring and new employee orientation. Processes all paperwork related to hourly and salaried hiring and new employee orientation.
  • Support the ops department on technical training with external parties.
  • Draft general forms, letters, reports and memos as necessary.
  • Update the communication for the shopfloor.
  • Manage and organize training as requested.
  • Undertake other projects and duties as assigned from time to time.
