About The Position

We are looking for a Human Resources Intern to partner closely with plant leadership to support core HR initiatives across manufacturing sites. This role offers hands-on involvement in employee engagement and culture initiatives, with the opportunity to rotate across multiple manufacturing facilities to gain broad, real-world HR experience in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field
  • Demonstrates accountability and collaborates effectively to drive inclusive and sustainable solutions
  • Responds to employee and business needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Acts with integrity and consistently follows through on commitments
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships by actively listening and remaining open to feedback
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset and seeks innovative ways to enhance HR processes
  • Must be currently enrolled in the University of South Carolina Human Resources program
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with plant management to drive employee engagement through Lear’s Together We Win strategy
  • Assisting in assessing workforce and leadership development needs and coordinating development activities to address both technical and soft‑skill gaps
  • Supporting the execution of talent management processes, including recruiting and staffing, performance management, employee development, and succession planning
  • Developing, maintaining, and supporting the implementation of plant and company policies and procedures (e.g., work rules, attendance, harassment prevention)
  • Coaching employees on conflict resolution, performance concerns, and workplace issues
  • Providing recommendations to leadership regarding the appropriate resolution of employee relations matters
