About The Position

The Human Resources Intern is responsible for providing general administrative support to the human resources office, with a primary focus on assisting with open enrollment and special projects during the fall semester, as well as providing front desk coverage as needed. We have two shifts available: M-F 8:00AM-12:30PM M-F 12:30PM-5:00PM

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish & English.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • Detail-oriented and able to identify errors or discrepancies in data or documents.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure that paperwork is complete.
  • Some knowledge of human resource functions.
  • Works with little supervision, strong leadership skills, and capability of working with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations when they arise and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attendance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn other programs.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and managing physical and digital files, documents, and records, including creating new files, labelling and categorizing documents, and ensuring that items are up to date.
  • Assisting with organizing HR documents and disseminating them to employees and managers in all offices.
  • Assisting with open enrollment during the fall benefits enrollment period, including preparing enrollment materials, answering employee questions, and tracking completed forms.
  • Supporting special HR projects throughout the fall semester as assigned.
  • Providing front desk coverage as needed, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
