About The Position

Bonnell Aluminum is leading the way for aluminum extrusion manufacturers. Our company-wide approach to lean manufacturing drives our team to seek new methods for simplifying processes, supporting employees, and building a positive workplace culture. Our HR Internship program will introduce students to hands-on experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing environment, including recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, training, and HR process improvement. Internships will begin in July. This is a paid internship.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, professional, and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Interest in Human Resources, employee relations, recruiting, training, and the manufacturing industry.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must obtain at least a 2.776 GPA or better in all classes.
  • Grades or transcript must be submitted to Human Resources prior to the commencement of the second semester.
  • Transcript must include your Student ID number, your name, and the name of your college or university.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Human Resources team with recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative projects.
  • Assist with maintaining employee records, preparing HR documents, and supporting compliance-related processes.
  • Participate in HR projects focused on improving processes, communication, and the employee experience.
  • Gain hands-on experience working alongside an HR mentor and cross-functional team members in a manufacturing setting.
  • Deliver a presentation in August highlighting what you learned and contributed during your HR internship.
