About The Position

A Human Resources Intern at Nemacolin will gain meaningful experience in the people practices that shape the associate experience within a luxury hospitality environment. Over this 12-week internship, you will work alongside human resources, recruitment, communications, benefits, and learning and development professionals, gaining hands-on exposure to candidate screening, associate engagement, event coordination, internal communication, and cross-department collaboration. Through this experience, you will turn classroom knowledge into practical skills while developing the perspective to pursue a career in human resources, hospitality leadership, learning and development, or associate event management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree program in human resources, hospitality management, business administration, event management, or a related field
  • Continuous authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship
  • Strong interest in hospitality, associate experience, workplace culture, Human Resources, or a related discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and other productivity tools
  • Ability to engage professionally with diverse teams and individuals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, events, and priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment initiatives and candidate screening to create an elevated candidate experience.
  • Contribute to engagement initiatives that recognize contributions, strengthen relationships, and reflect the culture of a luxury resort.
  • Assist in bringing associate appreciation celebrations, team-building activities, holiday events, wellness initiatives, and other experiences to life from planning through execution.
  • Gather associate perspectives through surveys, conversations, engagement activities, and pre-shift meetings to identify opportunities to strengthen workplace culture.
  • Help develop engagement opportunities that reflect resort culture, service standards, and the diverse interests of Team Nemacolin.
  • Collaborate across departments and support learning and development initiatives.
  • Help maintain associate-facing channels, event calendars, digital communications, flyers, and other resources that keep associates informed and engaged.
  • Assist in creating presentations, reports, event materials, engagement tracking documents, and other tools to support associate initiatives.
