About The Position

Jammie’s Environmental, Inc. (“JEI”) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their Human Resources team in Longview, WA. This role is ideal for a high-performing, detail-driven, technology-friendly HR professional who enjoys variety, collaboration, continuous improvement, and helping people have great employee experiences. You will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources and support recruiting, onboarding, HR systems, benefits, leave administration, compliance, reporting, training administration, employee engagement, and HR operations. This is not a back-office-only HR job. You will support office employees, field employees, fleet operations, shop personnel, and leaders who keep essential industrial services moving. The right person will be professional, approachable, curious, resilient, organized, proactive, and able to bring both accuracy and a sense of humor to a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Experience supporting HR operations, administration, onboarding, compliance, benefits, leave administration, recruiting support, employee engagement, or related HR functions
  • Experience administering HRIS/HCM systems, workflows, forms, approvals, reporting, dashboards, and employee data
  • Strong technology skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, comprehend, summarize, recall, and analyze information in variable formats
  • Effective and professional verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, administrative, customer service, problem-solving, planning, scheduling, and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, and documentation quality
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, reliability, professionalism, initiative, and sense of humor
  • Ability to present effectively to employees at all levels, including small and large groups
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the Company’s commercial automobile insurance program
  • Ability to wear required PPE when visiting shop, field, industrial, or customer locations and follow all company policies and practices

  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition strategy, benefits administration, and/or leave administration
  • Experience developing forms, templates, communications, process documentation, dashboards, workflow improvements, or training materials
  • Experience in industrial, environmental, transportation, construction, manufacturing, logistics, or operational environments
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting efforts through job postings, candidate communications, phone screening, interview scheduling, recruiting event participation, and applicant tracking administration
  • Identify and participate in recruiting events, job fairs, trade school events, workforce development events, and community outreach opportunities
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, new hire integration, and employee experience touchpoints
  • Administer BambooHR and other HR systems, including workflows, approvals, forms, reporting, dashboards, audits, and employee records
  • Support benefits administration, leave administration, employee programs, and employee questions
  • Maintain I-9, E-Verify, personnel file, record retention, DOT onboarding, and Driver Qualification documentation compliance
  • Track training, certifications, licenses, compliance requirements, performance review administration, and workforce records
  • Develop, present, and maintain forms, templates, letters, communications, process documentation, training materials, and presentation materials
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, communication, culture, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct HR audits, compliance reviews, reporting, and data cleanup to help the HR function run smoothly and accurately
  • Research and remain current on HR laws, regulations, trends, and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned as business needs evolve
