Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing required.
  • Experience administering a labor contract strongly preferred
  • Requires a strong client focus, business acumen and results orientation; both as a strategic thinker and as a tactician
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to listen carefully, research diligently and respond precisely
  • Proven ability to identify key issues and develop creative solutions and the ability to drive processes across the organization
  • Must have demonstrated leadership, project management, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • MUST BE A SOLE US CITIZEN

Responsibilities

  • Administers human resources policies, procedures, contract, reporting in compliance with state and federal regulation and Nidec Corporate Human Resources
  • Conducts new hire orientation with benefits information
  • Work with employees with site specific benefit questions and employee support including making changes, ordering new cards and enrolling in benefits
  • Assists with administration of self-funded benefits plan per the summary plan descriptions
  • Responsible for the interactive process for leave requests and/or accommodations
  • Responsible for leave administration tracking and reporting and follow up with leave Service provider
  • Updates HRIS and Kronos as appropriate and as required.
  • Assist Safety and Environmental Manager with Worker’s Compensation claims and/or accommodations
  • Provide support to Recruiting / Retention Specialist including preparation of offer letters, background screenings and other recruiting activities
  • Prepares and delivers presentations regarding human resources and employee relations topics
  • Assist with preparation of termination letters and exit interviews for manufacturing employees and any other documentation as required by location and/or state regulation
  • Assist with badge entry security system including printing badges and updating database
  • Assist with administration of HR programs such as tuition reimbursement, Service Awards, Awardco, etc.
  • Engage with workforce; provide information as needed
  • Assist in coordinating Company sponsored functions for employees
  • Participates in safety and health initiatives
  • Provide HR related support as required
