This position is responsible for managing academic personnel processing, including locum hire and payment processing for the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). The role involves processing new hire appointments in the Peoplesoft payroll system, verifying payroll sign-up materials, and resolving issues with campus HR partners. It also includes establishing new positions, inputting job postings, and processing various personnel actions such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, and reassignments. The position requires handling data for all CVM Academic Personnel, including foreign nationals, and inputting data into the GatorJobs recruitment system. Additionally, the role administers and coordinates visa processing (H-1B, TN) and permanent residency status in cooperation with UF Immigration and Compliance Services and external partners like Fragomen. Fiscal/payroll duties include serving as a contact for payroll, time and leave inputting, and ensuring proper distribution in the HRMS system. Leave duties involve assisting with annual leave audits and troubleshooting discrepancies. Administrative duties include backing up the HR Manager, ensuring timely processing of paperwork, and maintaining PeopleSoft databases and organizational charts.
