The HR/CSR Clerk has a vital role in supporting the organization’s human resources, customer service, and administrative functions. This position assists with employee documentation, onboarding, timekeeping, customer inquiries, order processing, and shipping coordination. The role requires accuracy, organization, professional communication, and discretion when handling confidential information. HR activities are performed under the direction of the HR Department, with customer service priorities coordinated with site leadership and the CSR Department.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record keeping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to prioritize HR and customer service assignments, manage interruptions, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn HR, warehouse, and transportation management systems.
  • Basic understanding of HR administrative procedures, timekeeping, order processing, and billing support.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and recognize when an issue requires escalation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with employees, customers, carriers, and management in an office and warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in customer service, administrative support, human resources support, or a related role preferred.
  • Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Experience with HR software such as ADP, and warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management systems (TMS), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process employment documents, maintain employee files, and assist with onboarding, orientation scheduling, and employee engagement activities as directed by HR.
  • Respond to routine administrative questions using HR-approved information. Refer employee concerns, benefit and leave questions, policy interpretation, and other sensitive matters to the HR Department promptly.
  • Assist with collecting and reviewing timekeeping information, identifying missing punches or discrepancies, and routing corrections for approval. Provide supporting records to HR or payroll within established deadlines.
  • Answer customer calls and emails, provide order and shipment updates, document inquiries and concerns, and follow up on resolution. Escalate issues beyond assigned authority to the CSR Department or designated supervisor.
  • Enter and update orders, prepare paperwork, assist with shipping transactions in company systems, and verify information for accuracy. Coordinate with operations on order status, discrepancies, and customer requests.
  • Assist customers, carriers, and operations with pickup and delivery scheduling; communicate changes, delays, and documentation needs promptly.
  • Maintain accurate employee, customer, and orders records in authorized systems. Prepare reports and correspondence, assist with customer projects, and organize documents for retrieval and audits.
  • Protect employee and customer information, follow company procedures, and share records only with authorized individuals. Coordinate with HR, customer service, accounting, and operations to meet deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
