About The Position

This position is with the US Army Human Resources Command, located at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Duties include executing reserve military personnel actions using automated human resource databases, evaluating written correspondence and supporting documents for compliance with regulatory eligibility requirements, researching historical personnel records and precedents for complex military records resolution, answering telephonic and electronic inquiries from customers regarding reserve personnel policies and system procedures, composing official replies to complex inquiries concerning military reserve program administration, and generating military documents and statistical reports utilizing office automation software.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Employee must possess the skills of a Qualified Typist.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes processing military personnel transactions in accordance with regulatory guidelines; compiling military personnel reports within automated database systems; and reviewing military personnel files for completeness of administrative documentation.
  • Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
