About The Position

Provide support to the Human Resources department in administering HR processes and programs for Kenworth Managers and Employees. Will serve as a contact for HR department, manage pieces of the employee on-boarding process and tour scheduling process as well as other employee programs. Participate in executing department initiatives and projects. This position serves as a front desk receptionist.

Requirements

  • Strong PC skills to include MS Office programs, SAP, Publisher, and SharePoint desirable.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, organized, and able to produce accurate results while dealing with multiple interruptions, and to prioritize workload while working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material and information.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 year degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will desire an opportunity to become involved in all aspects of human resource administration.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact for calls and walk-in visitors.
  • Manage the plant lobby; greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner, ensure tour guests adhere to plant tour guidelines and maintain complete sign-in/sign-out records.
  • Provide support and customer service to employees regarding various HR topics.
  • Utilize problem solving techniques when necessary to research employee questions.
  • Participate in executing departmental goals and objectives.
  • Play an active role in promoting positive employee relations and engagement by coordinating employee appreciation programs and events.
  • Support new employee on-boarding process.
  • Support recruitment activities as assigned.
  • Enter employee data into HRIS system and produce reports as necessary.
  • Submit standard dress orders for new hires.
  • Manage pieces of the tour scheduling process
  • Assist with creating posters and flyers for various internal events
  • Be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Must be reliable with dependable and regular attendance
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • May also provide some support to Health & Safety and Training functions, as well as Plant Manager
