We are looking for a Human Resource Administrator to join our team in San Jose, CA. This position is responsible for a variety of HR tasks, including administrative support for Talent Acquisition, HR team, and employees through HR documentation, filing, process, reporting, event planning, and participating in HR projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED; HR certification or equivalent preferred
  • Two year of experience working in a Human Resources or office environment
  • Must be professional, discrete, and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid California Driver license

Responsibilities

  • Provides general support including the preparation of employment application and new hire materials, interview and job folders, various forms and reports, and presentations
  • Submits candidates to pre-employment testing, background screening, references, and drug testing
  • Recruits, screens, participates in interviewing, and on-boards new employees
  • Responsible for scheduling phone, virtual, and in person interviews, and booking travel arrangements for candidates
  • Participates in recruiting job fairs events
  • Manages the employee referral process, tracks all referrals, and submits qualified referrals to the Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Prepares and enters personnel and payroll changes into the Workday system; audits and reviews the changes to ensure accuracy
  • Completes annual Affirmative Action Reports (AAP) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reports; ensures reports are filed correctly
  • Completes and submits the monthly temporary report and audits hours/days to ensure compliance with the collective bargaining unit agreement
  • Responds to general inquiries regarding the recruitment and selection process
  • Complies with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations as required
  • Maintains employee personnel files and related documentation
  • Assists with employee event planning, set up, and support
  • Performs work on-site in the assigned office location
  • Performs other similar duties as assigned
  • Attends meetings and training as directed by California Water Service
