About The Position

The primary purpose of the HR Administrator is to provide support to the Human Resources team under the direction of the HR Manager. This role involves maintaining employee personnel files, ensuring compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, performing HRIS data entry, responding to reference checks, monitoring attendance reports, and administering the FMLA/STD process.

Requirements

  • Intermediate level skill with MS Office Suite; specifically Word and Excel applications
  • Interpersonal Skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Associate’s Degree in any field
  • 2 years experience in a clerical position
  • Experience in Human Resources highly desired
  • Combination of 3-5 years education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintains employee personnel files.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Response to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness, absenteeism or other work rule violations.
  • Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
  • Administers FMLA/STD process in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Exceed attendance requirements
